B. Sateesh Chandrashekhar, CTO of Ideavate Solutions, spoke about Ensuring Quality of Testing. Performing testing effectively requires use of right set of metrics that can direct the testing efforts. It also increases the ability of the managers to predict the release milestones and stability of the software under verification. Managers should be able to identify the right set of metrics that are useful for the software being tested and devise appropriate data collection procedures to assist the testing efforts. Managers also need to encourage rightness in the metrics being collected and reported by the team and strive to improve the quality of testing. Sateesh Chandrashekhar talked about the standards approach for establishing, identifying, implementing and analyzing the quality metrics. He also talked about the frameworks for testing measurement & also covered metrics paradigms as part of his presentation.
